About AML1000 SPD
HollySys AML1000 Surge Protective Device (SPD) is a component used to limit transient overvoltage and protect electrical or electronic equipment. It is also known as a surge arrester or lightning protection device. An SPD contains at least one nonlinear component that, in the event of a surge, can conduct within a very short time (on the nanosecond level) to discharge the current and limit the voltage to a safe level. SPD products are suitable for protecting power and signal cables that are directly or indirectly affected by lightning or other transient overvoltages.
