On November 18, the Qinghai Western Mining Rare and Precious Metals Company‘s Multi-Metal Resource Recycling and Environmental Upgrade Project commenced operations. With an investment of 2.62 billion RMB, the project is the largest multi-metal recycling project in China.

On Nov. 11, 2024, Sinopec Tianjin Nan'gang 1.2 MTA Ethylene & High-end New Materials Industrial Cluster Project commenced full-process operation, producing qualified products. With a total investment of over 30 billion RMB, the project features a core 1.2 MTA ethylene unit supported by 13 additional production units.

On September 6, a ceremony was held at BASF Zhanjiang (Guangdong) Verbund Site, marking completion of construction & inauguration of its first plant. Using this plant, BASF will increase its annual production of modified engineering plastics for the Chinese market by 60,000 tons, increasing its total Asia-Pacific region production capacity for this product to 420,000 tons from 2023.
