On May 22, 2025, Units 5 and 6 of Shaanxi Coal & Chemical Industry Group's Chang'an Yiyang Power Plant completed the 168-hour trial operation, two months ahead of schedule.
The project marks the first million-kilowatt grade ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired power units of Shaanxi Coal & Chemical Industry Group, a leading large-scale energy and chemical enterprise. The units utilize cutting-edge technologies, including high-efficiency double-reheat system, a high-level water collection cooling tower, BEST small turbine, and three-flue damper temperature control.
HollySys provided its HOLLiAS® integrated plant-wide solution, featuring the HOLLiAS®MACS Distributed Control System (DCS), turbine control system (DEH), and an intelligent control platform. Through meticulous planning and close coordination with the owner, design institutes, and construction teams, HollySys delivered high-quality commissioning, earning strong recognition for its advanced solutions and engineering expertise.
The units now operate with precise control, achieving industry-leading performance in efficiency, emissions, and intelligent operation. Upon full operation, the Chang'an Yiyang Power Plant will become the largest thermal power facility in Hunan, China, with a total installed capacity of 3,860 MW and an annual output of 20 billion kWh, significantly boosting regional energy development. Moving forward, HollySys will continue innovating in the thermal power sector, supporting intelligent upgrades and providing solutions for global energy transformation.
