    HollySys Powers China's First Straddle Monorail APM at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport

Recently, the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Automated People Mover (APM) System, jointly constructed by Hollysys, was successfully inaugurated.

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Automated People Mover (APM) System

The Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport APM is the first airport people mover in China to adopt a straddle monorail system. Spanning 1.937 kilometers, it connects Terminal T3A and Terminal T3B — the world's largest satellite concourse, with an annual throughput of 35 million passengers. Operating 24/7, the system features high-capacity, fully driverless operation to provide seamless transfer between domestic and international flights.

  • Unified Dispatch

    A centralized control model streamlines signaling, power supply, vehicles, and platform doors, optimizing staffing and operational workflows. 

  • Vehicle-Signaling Integration

    Merging TCMS with onboard signaling achieves triple-network convergence (control/monitoring/maintenance), enhancing reliability and simplifying architecture. 

  • AI-Driven Maintenance

    Cloud-based Edge Intelligent Controllers (EIC) enable predictive maintenance, remote monitoring, and cross-system coordination, cutting downtime and costs.
