HollySys to Supply ETCS-2 Onboard Systems for 9 High-Speed Trains in Turkey

Recently, HollySys signed an agreement to supply its advanced ETCS-HS onboard train control system for nine high-speed trains manufactured by the Turkish Rail System Industry Corporation (TÜRASAŞ).

Strategic Partnership Advances Turkey's Rail Localization Goals

The trains, fully designed and developed domestically in Turkey, represent the country’s first high-speed model to comply with European railway standards. Each train consists of eight cars and is designed for a top speed of 120 km/h. Once operational, the trains will serve Gaziantep Province and surrounding areas, significantly enhancing regional intercity commuting with improved efficiency, convenience, and passenger comfort.

HollySys' ETCS-HS System Ensures Safety and Compatibility

HollySys' ETCS-HS system features a forward-looking design compatible with both Baseline 2 and Baseline 3 of the European Train Control System (ETCS). It ensures seamless integration with various trackside ETCS configurations and supports a wide range of line speeds, offering flexible adaptability for diverse operational scenarios.

In 2023, HollySys has delivered it’s ETCS-2 onboard system for the first unit of this train model. The system has since passed integration and commissioning and is now in the final stages of delivery. During the project, the ETCS-2 system demonstrated exceptional performance under complex operating conditions, earning high praise from TÜRASAŞ for its safety, reliability, and quality—laying a solid foundation for further collaboration.
