Recently, HollySys assisted in completing and commissioning Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd.'s 500 KTA bottle-grade chip production unit, which uses polyester's middle-viscosity technology. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough in the polyester non-fiber sector, further optimizing industry structure and stabilizing supply. It also provides essential material support for the long-term growth of China's manufacturing sector.
The project produces carbonated beverage bottles, hot-fill beverage bottles, plastic steel bandboards, and specialty functional polyester products. It also represents a leap forward by directly linking raw materials to bottle-grade polyester chips. The production process is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 20%, while energy consumption and material usage reach industry-leading levels. The high-quality products have lower crystallinity than those from traditional processes, offering expanded application potential in downstream industries like blow molding and canning. This better aligns with the diverse needs of consumers for improved quality of life.
