Overview
The Dagu River Water Purification Plant Quality Improvement Project aimed to enhance the water quality of Tianjin's outer ring river. The project included four main components: pre-treatment system, rapid infiltration system, sludge treatment system, and effluent system. The pipeline extends 5.2 km with a design capacity of 200,000 m³/day. Most PLC control units were installed outdoors or in basements, requiring high performance in wide temperature ranges and three-proof protection.
Solutions
HollySys provided advanced PLC products and comprehensive solutions. LE series PLC products were used for water quality monitoring stations, LK210 redundancy for ultra-filtration, and LK205 products for the intake pump station, artificial rapid infiltration, dosing room, sludge pump room, power distribution room, and effluent pump station. All LK series PLCs are coated with a conformal layer to protect against moisture, salt fog, and mold, and operate within a temperature range of -40 to 70°C, ensuring stable performance in harsh environments.
Results
After the upgrade, control cabinets at the intake pump station, ultra-filtration, artificial rapid infiltration, and effluent pump station were installed outdoors and continued to operate stably despite exposure to winter snow and summer rain. Cabinets in the dosing room, sludge treatment, and power distribution room, located in damp basements, also maintained stable operation. The project improved the urban water environment for approximately 50 km of river, earning positive feedback from the client.
