Overview

The upgrade and renovation of the 450 kta synthetic ammonia and 800 kta urea unit significantly boosted the company's fertilizer supply capacity, optimizing raw materials and utility engineering, and setting an industry benchmark in energy consumption.

Solutions

Utilizing our HOLLiAS MACS K series Distributed Control System (DCS), Advanced Control System (Hia APC), and Simulation & Operator Training System (OTS), we implemented APC on complex control units. This enhanced the automation of synthetic ammonia and urea production units, resulting in smoother overall plant operations.

Results

Following acceptance, the project operated seamlessly, with key process parameters automatically and precisely controlled. The standard deviation decreased by approximately 57%, improving the control quality of major process parameters and reducing fluctuations in key variables. This led to reduced energy and equipment losses, lowered production operating costs, enhanced product quality, decreased operational intensity, and garnered high praise from users.
