Jiujiang Wire Group Qian'an Base Rotary Hearth Furnace Project

Overview 

Implemented by Jiujiang Wire Group in Tangshan, this project focuses on solid waste treatment, specifically targeting the disposal of a considerable amount of dust, powder, and slag generated throughout the steel production process. While these by-products contain valuable elements like carbon and iron, they cannot be reused, posing a substantial environmental challenge if directly disposed of.

Solutions

HollySys supplied MACS V6 series DCS controllers to manage and gather data from all plant equipment. Each subsystem also integrated HollySys equipment, ensuring unified data collection, storage, and transmission, thus creating a comprehensive information system without any blind spots. Standardized external interfaces and communication protocols were implemented to ensure robust data storage.

Results

The project employed rotary hearth furnace technology to process solid waste such as dust, powder, and slag generated during production, which couldn't be effectively utilized otherwise. This approach significantly alleviated environmental pressures while producing metalized pellets suitable for blast furnace smelting, thereby promoting resource recycling, economic efficiency, and the concept of turning waste into treasure. Moreover, it enhanced the company's system intelligence and production digitization.
