Sinopec Hainan Refinery Expansion Project

Overview

The project adopted four sets of HollySys DCS systems. In 2022, four units (hydrocracking, continuous reforming, light hydrocarbon recovery, and xylene) were required for alarm management. It was necessary to synchronize real-time data and alarm data from DCS to the AAS system.

Solutions

HollySys provided a complete solution, adding two communication stations and deploying ICOMM communication software. It collected real-time data and alarm data from the four units and sent them to the AAS system using OPC-DA and OPCAE methods.

Results

Upon project implementation, it achieved real-time data and alarm notifications for the DCS systems of the four production units, meeting the requirements for alarm management systems. It greatly facilitated production management personnel to monitor the process in real-time and improved the operational efficiency.
