HollySys Supports Successful Startup of Taizhong Specialty Paper 300 KTA Functional Paper-Based & Auxiliary Material Project

Recently, HollySys has supported the successful startup of the Zhongtai Specialty Paper 300 KTA Functional Paper-Based and Auxiliary Material Project in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, China, marking a key milestone in the region's advancement toward high-end paper-based materials manufacturing.

With a total investment of USD 420 million and a site area of approximately 340,000 m², the project produces high-value-added products including LCD spacer paper, medical functional paper, aerogel fire-resistant paper, and anti-counterfeiting paper. These products are widely applied in electronics display, healthcare, new energy, and premium packaging, effectively filling the regional gap in high-end paper-based materials and supporting industrial upgrading.

HollySys delivered its XMagital® intelligent system and HOLLiAS® MACS DCS, tailored to the project's high-precision processes and stringent quality requirements. The XMagital® intelligent system enables real-time data acquisition and analysis across production, equipment, energy consumption, and environmental parameters. It supports predictive maintenance, intelligent process optimization, and precise energy management, helping reduce production losses and operating costs while ensuring stable and sustainable operation of high-end functional paper production. The DCS covers the full production chain, including pulping and refining, stock preparation, white water recovery, steam and energy systems, and additive dosing. It enables precise control and coordinated optimization across all stages, ensuring stable paper quality in terms of uniformity, cleanliness, and thickness, while improving overall product yield.

During implementation, HollySys provided integrated EPC management and full-scope smart factory services covering design, system integration, commissioning, and startup support. Despite complex processes, multi-stage parallel construction, and high integration complexity, the project team successfully overcame technical challenges and achieved first-time feed, startup, and qualified product output.

The project demonstrates HollySys' integrated capabilities in engineering contracting, digital smart factory delivery, and deep process integration. Moving forward, HollySys will continue leveraging the XMagital® intelligent system to drive innovation in paper-based new materials and deliver advanced, sustainable solutions for the pulp and paper industry, supporting its transition toward higher efficiency and lower emissions.
