On December 20, 2024, the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Talent Training Base – Silk Road High-Speed Rail Workshop" was inaugurated at Tashkent State Transport University in Uzbekistan. The ceremony was attended by officials from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, representatives from Tashkent State Transport University, and key stakeholders from Chinese-invested enterprises operating in Uzbekistan.
The "Silk Road High-Speed Rail Workshop" is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College, Tashkent State Transport University, and HollySys Education and Technology Co., Ltd. This initiative focuses on key disciplines such as railway signaling and railway engineering. Through academic programs, professional training, skills competitions, equipment R&D, and faculty exchanges, the workshop aims to support the development of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway. By enhancing railway-related education and fostering innovation, it seeks to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for communities along the railway corridor.
Distinguished speakers at the event included Akmal Salimov, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan; Abdulaziz Gulamov, Executive President of Tashkent State Transport University; Chen Guang, Party Secretary of Xinjiang Railway Vocational and Technical College; and Li Jian, General Manager of HollySys Education and Technology Co., Ltd. The ceremony was presided over by Bakhodir Turaev, Vice President of Tashkent State Transport University.
