On November 30th, HollySys contributed to the grid connection of the 110 MW CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) Project within the Huidong New Energy CSP+PV (Photovoltaic) Complex in Gansu, China. As the largest tower-type CSP plant in China by unit capacity, the complex boasts a total installed capacity of 750 MW, including 110 MW from CSP and 640 MW from PV sources.
HollySys provided an integrated plant-wide solution featuring DCS, DLP (Digital Light Processing), DEH (Digital Electro-Hydraulic Control System), and ETS (Emergency Trip System) to manage key processes such as heliostat field control, heat collection and storage, electric heat tracing, evaporation and heat exchange, desalination, wastewater treatment, air cooling, auxiliary cooling, and turbine generator operations.
The project is expected to generate 1.7 billion kWh of electricity annually, saving 507,000 tons of standard coal and reducing CO2 emissions by 1.47 million tons — equivalent to afforesting 1.2 million acres. It will also strengthen the local new energy sector and support high-quality regional economic growth.
