Overview

To enhance the intelligent production capabilities of their power plant and achieve energy saving, environmental protection, quality improvement, and efficiency, client needed to optimize the combustion control of their boilers. The project involved two 220t/h circulating fluidized bed boilers, two back-pressure steam turbines, and three sets of double-reduction main pipe units.

Solutions

Drawing on extensive experience in control systems and combustion technology, HollySys provided client with a customized solution. This included using external APC to debug and optimize the automatic control loops for the boilers and desulfurization and denitrification systems, along with configuring firewalls to ensure secure communication.

Results

Following implementation, boiler efficiency (standard coal consumption for steam production) increased by 1.05%. The utilization rate of APC control loops for drum water level and main steam temperature exceeded 95%. Fluctuations in control indicators were reduced by over 30% compared to manual adjustments. Additionally, ammonia consumption in the desulfurization and denitrification units was reduced by 16.7%. This solution significantly lowered costs for the client while boosting their production efficiency.
