Overview

The Kaidu River Chahanwusu Hydropower Station has an installed capacity of 309,000 kilowatts (11Wkw×3). The original monitoring system's control hardware has experienced aging electronic components, and the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) modules have been damaged and replaced multiple times, severely affecting data collection and the safe operation of the power units. To ensure the safe operation of the units, it is necessary to upgrade and renovate the unit's Local Control Unit (LCU).

Solutions

The system utilizes two sets of HollySys LKC series PLC, employing a dual-redundancy hot-standby rack configuration. It features a 1000M fiber optic redundant synchronous module that is integrated with the hot-standby controller, thereby achieving redundancy at both the CPU and network levels.
