Hubei Shuanghuan Gasification Renovation Project

Overview

Hubei Shuanghuan Technology Co., Ltd. adopted the advanced “Combined-soda Process and Cogeneration Process”  to produce soda ash and ammonium chloride. The DCS of the gasification unit has been operated for over ten years, suffering from severe hardware aging and discontinued control system, posing risks to production stability. Upgrading and renovation were the only viable options. The SIS consisted of over 840 points, and the DCS system was comprised of over 3300 points.

Clients faced challenges like incomplete design data, deciphering source system programs, and managing unpredictable renovation schedules during the upgrade of the DCS system operational for over a decade. HollySys tailored an automated upgrade solution for DCS based on its industry expertise and a profound grasp of process flows, and developed an automated auxiliary configuration software to streamline processes, significantly boosting the efficiency. This solution helped clients to upgrade DCS system with better efficiency and reduced costs.
