At 6:55 September 6, 2022, train G6518 heading to Yiyang South Railway Station departed from Changsha Station, marking the opening to traffic of the Yiyang-Changsha section of Changde-Yiyang-Changsha (CYC) High-speed Railway (HSR), along with Yiyang City's inauguration as an HSR city. This fills the final gap in Hunan's HSR map, bringing all of the province’s 14 cities and prefectures under HSR coverage.

The CYC HSR section of the Chongqing-Xiamen HSR line lies in northwest Hunan Province, running from Changde City in the west through Hanshou, Yiyang, and Ningxiang into Changsha City. With a design speed of 350 km/h, it uses the CTCS-3 train control system.

As the main supplier of the CTCS-3 train control system used on the CYC HSR, HollySys has provided the railway with two Radio Block Centers (RBC), 12 Train Control Centers (TCC), and a Temporary Speed Restriction Server (TSRS). After winning the bid, company managers attached great importance to the project and allocated core resources to ensure its smooth progress. With its rigorous working attitude, the dependable, highly-skilled project team made an excellent job of completing engineering design, equipment installation, field commissioning, and other assigned tasks, in spite of unfavorable conditions under COVID-19 and the tight construction deadlines, allowing the Yiyang-Changsha Section of CYC HSR to open to traffic on time. The team received high praise and recognition from both the customer and the equipment management unit.

The opening of the CYC HSR’s Yiyang-Changsha section ample showcases HollySys’s overall capabilities and strong products in terms of the design, R&D, commissioning, and construction of rail transit projects. HollySys will continue its good work on the field commissioning of the Changde-Yiyang Section of CYC HSR, ensuring that the entire line opens smoothly, and on schedule. We will adhere to our business principle of "bearing customers sincerely in mind" during these operations, exerting our greatest efforts to support the CYC HSR’s construction and operation.
