HollySys won the contract from Henan Yishuiyuan Water Purification Material Technology Co., Ltd. for the DCS & Instrumentation of the 250 kt/a New Calcium Aluminate Powder Project. The project is located in the New Material Park, Industrial Agglomeration Area, Bo'ai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. 

The project, with a total investment of RMB 750 million, covers an area of more than 13.33 ha (1 mu ≈ 0.067 ha) and adopts the most advanced green and low-carbon technology. Calcium aluminate powder (raw material of water purifying agent) is a grayish-white powder, mainly composed of CaO, Al2O3 and Fe2O3. Calcium aluminate powder is primarily used to produce aluminum salts such as polyaluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, and sodium aluminate. It is also used for alkalinity adjustment and refractory materials. 

The project consists of production facilities for raw material batching, raw material crushing, raw material grinding, pulverized coal preparation, kiln outlet firing, kiln inlet flash sintering, finished product packaging, circulating water, desulfurization and denitration. Future informatization has been considered in the plant design and an integrated production, operation and control system from the control level (DCS/PLC) to the production execution level (MES) and the operation level (ERP) will be established. This will allow for high integration of production, data, business and information, "integration of enterprise informatization and industrialization", and moving towards becoming a smart factory. 

To ensure smooth, efficient and high-quality implementation of the project, the "MAV" mode is adopted. HollySys will provide an integrated solution of DCS and instrumentation for the complete process of the project, providing solid support for the enterprise to integrate control, management and operation of the process units and auxiliary systems.

About 8000 physical IO points have been installed for the 250 kt/a New Calcium Aluminate Powder Plant. The project is another breakthrough for HollySys in the water treatment agent (calcium aluminate powder) sector. Through this project, we will further promote the localization of automation & control equipment in the sector.
